Things to do in Seaside

Overview

Come to Seaside, Florida for the beautiful warm, calm, blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the soft sugar-white sandy beaches that squeaks between your toes, and the small town family resort atmosphere that permeates Seaside and all of the towns along Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach.  What you won’t find here are towering condos rising into the sky.  Rather, Seaside is all about what family beach vacations were meant to be – personal, memorable, and family-oriented.

But, don’t be fooled, there’s lot’s going on in Seaside – and plenty to keep young and not-so-young folks busy and entertained.  Here’s just a  sampling of the activities and events going on in and around town…

Tennis

When you come to Seaside, be sure to bring your tennis racquet!  The Seaside Swim & Tennis Club features 5 Har Tru Hydro tennis courts and there’s never a shortage of daily tennis clinics or round robin events to keep tennis players of all levels busy.  There’s even a sign-up board in front of the pro shop where visitors can post their name and contact information to pick up a tennis game any day of the week.  Sign-up for a lesson with any one of the seasoned pros or, even better, schedule your next weekend tennis group outing at Seaside! Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA).  With over 36 million players, Pickleball has grown 156.8% over the past 3 years according to the SFIA.  And, before you say “Pickleball is for old people”, think again… also according to the SFIA the largest segment of Pickleball players in the U.S. includes 18 to 34 year-olds!

With that as a backdrop, Seaside has worked hard to keep pace with this rapidly growing game.  Sporting 3 dedicated individual Pickleball courts, Seaside is the perfect destination for your next Pickleball outing.  Bring your paddle and reserve a court to play with friends, or sign-up at the pro shop for a pick-up game any day.

Each of pros at the Seaside Swim & Tennis Club are adept at playing the game and can help you to get to the next level.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned expert, Seaside has Pickleball clinics that will keep you busy and learning new shots and strategies.
